RENNIE by RENNIE is a Canadian clothing brand founded in 2023 by designer Megan Rennie. The brand officially launched its first Spring/Summer collection, Inner Child, in 2024—a playful, expressive debut that was picked up by two Canadian boutiques. In 2025, the brand released its second collection and launched its own online store, expanding its reach and deepening its connection with customers across the country.

Every piece is proudly made in Canada, with design, pattern drafting, and development happening in the Rennie Studio—tucked just off Bay Street in downtown Toronto. From there, garments come to life in collaboration with the talented team at Mike Cut and Sew, a manufacturing studio based in Scarborough.

As a Canadian brand, supporting other Canadian businesses is a core value. "Life is all about the relationships you build along the way—like the one I’ve built with Mike and his team. They’re an incredible group, and working together has been one of the most meaningful parts of building this brand."

RENNIE by RENNIE is guided by two key philosophies: a commitment to continuously working toward more ethical, sustainable, and zero-waste fashion, and a desire to make sustainable clothing more accessible to more people. Using zero-waste pattern drafting and responsible materials, the focus is on creating well-made garments designed to last—not just in quality, but in how they make you feel over time.

But beyond construction and craft, this brand is about bringing joy and play back into getting dressed. So often, as we grow up, dressing becomes about trends, or fitting into a certain ideal. Rennie by Rennie rejects that. "I’ve never designed with an ideal body or model in mind. I design for fun, for movement, for expression—for the feeling you get when you put something on and it just makes you light up." That spirit is what drives every collection.

At its heart, RENNIE by RENNIE is for anyone who’s ever missed the feeling of putting on a dress simply because it made them feel like a princess. It’s fashion made thoughtfully, to bring back the magic of getting dressed—no matter your age or shape.

The brand is carried by select Canadian retailers that champion independent designers and support locally made fashion. From studio to hanger, Rennie by Rennie is built on relationships, responsibility, and a love of clothing that means something.

About the designer

Megan Rennie, founder and designer of Rennie by Rennie, was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario. Her love for sewing and art began in childhood, nurtured by time spent creating with her grandmother. What started with painting and reworking thrifted clothes quickly grew into a deeper passion for design, self-expression, and storytelling through clothing.

Megan went on to study fashion design at St. Clair College, graduating in 2021. After school, she gained hands-on experience working under Canadian designer Haley Gibson of Birds of North America—an experience that helped sharpen her skills and deepen her understanding of the industry. In 2023, she launched Rennie by Rennie, a label rooted in joyful design, thoughtful construction, and a belief in fashion that feels both personal and purposeful.
